Painting on HGTV - show us how to paint like a pro |

 HGTV painting.
YIKES! we all know everyone can grab a brush and paint but how it looks is the big question. It annoys me when I watch some of
these HGTV shows. I cringe
when I see how some programs demonstrate
painting a room in an expensive home. We see people rolling walls all over the place,
standing
around talking, cutting after the wall is rolled and so on. This isn't
my idea on how
to paint or, how to show others how quality painting is done. It would be helpful if we could hold
the
camera up close on some walls like Holmes on Homes does when showing an
example of a bad construction project. How many people would really accept accept
paint flashing and roller marks on a dark walls? I would like to see
classic examples of bad tape bleed, roller lines, brush lines etc, so people know the difference between a novice and a professional
paint job. People spend thousands on a home, and/or, an interior design project, and in
the end a group of inexperienced people slap on the paint. Does this make sense?
How can any professional painter ask for a quality wage, or take the time to paint well... when the public
is
seeing this type of painting and only expecting average or less? It would be awesome if we could lift the standards up a bit by
educating the public with some of these programs.
Its time for a HGTV show on
how to
paint homes properly. Show us what a great paint job looks like. Lets see some
PAINTING Guys go into a home and do it up right.
