Painting Baseboards With Class

One of the most important parts of a room is the final touches with
baseboards. Paint baseboards well and you take a room to a new
level.
Preparing For Spraying (Taping & Drop Cloth Prep)

Baseboards do the same thing as a picture frame. When you walk
into a room and see large, well painted baseboards, you immediately
think quality and see wall colour. Well painted, SMOOTH... baseboards
not only look awesome but they also hold less dust and clean
much better in general because they are smooth. Dust slids off of
smooth surfaces much easier than rough. Sanding is an important part to painting.
A smooth and well painted top edge of a baseboard stay's looking great
for years. The top edge is where the
sweet spot is and this is a BIG reason why my paint jobs stand out from the rest. I take the time to get down on my knees!
When you hire me you will see the difference and never settle for less
again.
Prep:
- sand and fill holes with glazing putty
- fill all gaps between wall and baseboard with a top quality, non
shrinking paint able dap
- prime where needed
- sand and vaccuum or dust well before finishing coat
- apply two coats of top quality semi gloss and, with a steady hand
overlap the top edge 1/8 inch onto wall. This is sweet to the eye.
Painting the Top Edge Advantages:
- Wall colour and contrast looks much better
- smoother finished appearance
- gives a larger look to the baseboard
- seals the top edge (wall crack) and cleans easier.
- looks custom, not cheap.
